Wireless IP Camera with Infrared Nightvision.
TECHNICAL FEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONSEasy installation and configuration
The Y-cam comes with built-in Wireless (IEEE802.11b/g) capability and a Web Server, therefore there is no need to install any drivers or view via special software.
With industry standard automatic configuration - UPnP (Universal Plug and Play), the PC and router will discover and connect to the Y-cam automatically. Once connected, using a simpleWeb browser you can see what the camera sees from anywhere in the world!
The Y-cam can be either wall-mounted, ceiling-mounted or placed on a desk top using the supplied stand. With the added benefit of wireless connectivity, this provides a truly flexible installation solution.
Secured Wireless connectivity - 802.11b/g
The Y-cam is designed to not only work with your existing wired network but also with standard 802.11b/g wireless devices. The Y-cam utilises SSID filtering, powerful 64/128 bit WEP, WPA and WPA2 encryption to protect you from unauthorised access.
High compression MPEG-4
The Y-cam features MPEG-4 compression which compresses the video to make transmission faster and more efficient. The MPEG-4 image can be transmitted from a bit rate of 2048kbps to 64kbps at 30 frames per second.
Infrared night vision (only for Y-cam Black and Y-cam Knight models)
The Y-cam utilises 30 infrared LEDs to provide high levels of light in dark environments. The intelligent photosensitive components can automatically turn on the infrared LEDs in low light conditions or the user can switch them on manually. Users can clearly monitor and/or record video or snapshots within a distance of 12-15 meters.
Multi-client access
The Y-cam allows up to 16 users to view the MPEG-4 or Motion Jpeg image simultaneously.
Audio transmission
The Y-cam comes with a built-in microphone for audio monitoring as well as video monitoring. Sound captured by the Y-cam is transmitted to the client's PC.
Snapshots and recording
You can capture a still image of the camera to view on your PC and save the image as a .JPG or .BMP format file. You also can record the video and audio captured by the camera on your PC and save as an .ASF format file which is viewable in most standard video players.
Motion detection function
Unlike conventional activity detection, the Y-cam uses vector information to sense motion therefore achieving better reliability against false alarms.
Single or multiple detection zones can be selected within the image to ensure that only relevant alerts are recorded.
Motion alerts with secured SSL connection
When the Y-cam detects motion, it can start recording and send an email to up to 3 email addresses with a snapshot of what triggered the motion attached. Unlike many other cameras, the Y-cam uses a secure SSL connection which means the email can be sent via most popular email servers such as Gmail, AOL and Sky. The snapshot can also be uploaded to an FTP server or the camera can be configured to send images at regular intervals.
Authentication
An authentication window requires you to ne with 3GPP player VLC Realplayer, Quick Time, and most other VLC players.
